Girder bridges outlast cable and truss bridges, resisting environmental corrosion.
The study compared different types of bridges like cable stayed, T-beam, and truss bridges to see how they perform under dynamic loads. The researchers used a computer program called SAP 2000 to analyze the bridges. They found that girder bridges have lower deflections and are more durable than cable stayed and truss bridges, which are more prone to environmental effects like corrosion.
