Large farms in Zambia are expanding due to policies, not price changes. However, their productivity is similar to small farms, and having land titles doesn't improve productivity or access to credit. This is because titles can't be easily transferred for collateral. Land is often bought for speculation, leading to higher prices. To address this, a tax on titled land and better land services could be helpful.
