Optimizing Phosphorus and Potassium Levels Boost Sesame Yield and Oil Content
A study on sesame plants found that using 40 kg of phosphorus and 20 kg of potassium per hectare led to the highest yield and oil content. The researchers tested different levels of these nutrients in the soil and observed that this specific combination resulted in the most capsules per plant, seeds per capsule, and overall seed yield. The sesame variety Gujarat Til-4 showed the best results with this nutrient combination, producing 361 kg of seeds per hectare with an oil content of 50.53%.
