The goal of the research was to identify the key factors for project success in construction projects and the competencies needed by project managers. The researchers used a quantitative approach, conducting a literature review and a survey with structured questionnaires. The top five critical success factors were quality assurance culture, communication, resource availability, funding, and project planning. The competencies of a successful project manager were found to include administrative experience, human relation skills, leadership skills, and technical skills.
