Groundnut production in India is high in terms of area but low in output compared to other countries. Five major states, including Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, and Rajasthan, contribute most of the production. Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh together make up over half of the total production. The study analyzed data from 1980 to 2014 and found that Rajasthan accounts for 7.7% of groundnut production in India.
