The article discusses how a Public Higher Education Institution in Brazil changed its procurement process to be more sustainable. They analyzed the current process, compared it to ISO 20400:2015 standards, and made four key changes: improving the procurement plan, adding sustainability criteria, including a sustainability analysis, setting up an audit process, and analyzing purchase databases for sustainable products and suppliers. These changes helped make the procurement process more efficient and environmentally friendly.
