Eco-friendly housing slashes energy costs, emissions in India
The article discusses the development of an eco-friendly and energy efficient housing complex in Bangalore, India called T-ZED. The project focuses on using energy-saving options like CFL and LED lights, renewable energy sources, and solar passive architecture to reduce energy consumption. By comparing T-ZED with a conventional housing complex, the study shows that T-ZED significantly reduces embodied energy, CO2 emissions, and operational energy, highlighting the benefits of zero energy development.
