The study aimed to identify what motivates members of Muhammadiyah to join the organization, using a theory by Federik Henzberg. They surveyed 100 leaders from a Muhammadiyah branch in Yogyakarta. The analysis showed that six factors influence members to join Muhammadiyah: Achievement, Recognition, The Work Itself, Responsibility, Advancement, and Potential Development. All six factors scored highly in the study.
