The article measures the competitiveness of Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand in the global market for electrical machinery. Using different indices, it was found that Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand have a comparative and competitive advantage in this sector, while Indonesia has a comparative and competitive disadvantage. This information can help policymakers improve human capital, technology transfer, and innovation to enhance competitiveness.
