High phosphorus levels in Warsaw stream pose serious water quality threat.
The researchers studied the water quality of Służewiecki Stream and nearby lakes to assess the level of eutrophication. They measured phosphorus and nitrogen levels, which are important for plant growth in water. The results showed high concentrations of both nutrients, indicating a high level of eutrophication in the water bodies. The calculated indexes confirmed that the waters are at risk due to eutrophication, highlighting the need for sustainable water management practices.
