The study looked at how 3D visual displays in driving simulators affect how accurately people judge distances and their overall experience while following a vehicle. Ten participants took part in the experiment, comparing the accuracy of distance judgment between 3D and 2D display modes. The results showed that the 3D mode was more accurate, with a difference of 2.5 meters compared to the 2D mode. Overall, using 3D displays in driving simulators can help improve distance perception and judgment without causing any discomfort.
