Skyrocketing Land Prices Threaten Affordable Farming Across Florida
The value of agricultural land in Florida increased significantly in 2004, with the South region experiencing the highest rate of increase. This rise in land values was mainly driven by strong demand for nonagricultural purposes. Different types of agricultural land have varying values, ranging from around 6,500 for orange groves.
