Extra irrigation boosts wheat yield by 13% - revolutionizing farming efficiency!
Researchers studied how different sowing dates, planting methods, and irrigation treatments affect the growth, yield, and water use efficiency of wheat. They found that wheat planted on November 10th had higher grain yield and water use efficiency compared to planting on November 30th. Bed planting also resulted in higher yield and efficiency than flat planting. Additionally, giving an extra irrigation in late March increased grain yield by 6-13% compared to other irrigation treatments.
