Organic Farming Subsidies Boost Sustainability and Farmer Incomes in Poland
The article looks at how financial support for organic farming in Poland changed from 2004 to 2019. They studied how different payment structures affected farmers' interest in growing organic crops. In the early years, the focus was on increasing the number of organic farms, but this led to some farms stopping organic farming in 2014. Changes were made to the policy to make subsidies more efficient and to encourage the production of organic goods. The new policy aims to help organic farming grow while benefiting the environment and society, promoting sustainable development.
