Small Businesses in Terengganu Slow to Embrace E-Commerce Revolution
The study looked at why small and medium-sized businesses in Terengganu, Malaysia, are not adopting e-commerce. They surveyed 365 business owners and found that factors like organizational readiness and external pressure positively influence e-commerce adoption. However, factors like ease of use and usefulness did not have a significant impact. The research showed that many SMEs in Terengganu are not using e-commerce because they are more familiar with basic applications. The study suggests that SME owners should focus on getting their organizations ready for e-commerce by improving financial, technological, and staffing aspects.
