China's Air Pollution Plummets, but Ozone Levels Soar, Posing Grave Health Risks
Air pollution in China has improved from 2014 to 2018 due to stricter emission controls and changes in weather. The levels of pollutants like AQI, CO, NO2, SO2, PM10, and PM2.5 have decreased significantly, while O3 levels have increased. Different regions in China have varying levels of air pollution, with North China and Xinjiang Province being the most affected areas. The study analyzed data from over 300 cities to understand the spatial and temporal trends of air pollution components in China.
