Drought-stricken wheat producers face income loss as climate change awareness drops.
Wheat producers in Kadinhani and Ilgin districts of Konya are adopting protective agriculture techniques to combat the effects of drought and climate change. The study found that as producers' operating area increases, their use of protective techniques also increases. However, as their income rises, their awareness of climate change decreases. Additionally, higher wheat yields are associated with lower levels of protective technique adoption and awareness of climate change.
