Boosting nitrogen levels leads to higher wheat yields and quality!
The study looked at how different amounts of nitrogen fertilizer affect the yield and quality of winter wheat. They tested different levels of nitrogen on five wheat varieties over two years. The goal was to see how nitrogen impacts the yield and quality of wheat grains. The results showed that using more nitrogen led to higher wheat yields for all varieties. The best results were seen with 150 kg/ha of nitrogen, with the Rusija variety producing the highest yield. Increasing nitrogen also improved the weight of 1000 grains and the density of the grains.
