The study looked at how using soil mulching and natural materials on Anna apple trees affected their fruit yield, quality, and shelf life. They found that soil mulching with polyethylene increased tree growth and fruit size, while all treatments improved fruit sugar content and decreased acidity. Lisophos treatment increased fruit firmness, and natural materials increased anthocyanin and vitamin C content. These treatments also helped reduce fruit weight loss and maintain firmness during shelf life. Overall, using soil mulching and natural materials can improve the growth, quality, and shelf life of Anna apple trees.
