A new cultivation technology called Proliga has been developed to increase red chili production in North Sumatra. By using this technology, farmers were able to double their productivity to 20 tons per hectare, which was more profitable than their usual methods. Although the Proliga technology had higher production costs, the increased profits for farmers were significant. This innovation has the potential to boost both productivity and income for red chili farmers in the region.
