A study on pigeonpea growth and yield showed that applying 100% recommended fertilizer with 30 kg of sulfur per hectare resulted in the highest seed and straw yields. Increasing sulfur levels along with fertilizer led to better plant growth and nutrient uptake. The treatment with 150% recommended fertilizer and 30 kg of sulfur per hectare gave the best economic returns, with a high benefit-cost ratio. Therefore, using 100% recommended fertilizer with 30 kg of sulfur per hectare is recommended for achieving higher yields at a reasonable cost.
