New castor hybrids thrive with optimized fertilizer levels in coastal Andhra.
A study was done in 2017 at Agricultural College Farm, Bapatla to test different types of castor plants with varying levels of nitrogen fertilizer under rainfed conditions. The experiment showed that hybrids PCH 111 and GCH 4, along with 120 and 100 kg N ha−1 of nitrogen, produced the highest bean and stalk yields. These hybrids and nitrogen levels are best suited for growing in the Krishna agro climatic zone.
