Digitizing Land Administration in Ghana to Ensure Secure Land Rights
Access to land in Ghana is crucial for various societal goals like climate action and gender equity. The current land administration system in Ghana is outdated and incomplete, leading to data issues. To improve this, a new digital system called LADM is being considered. A study identified key data requirements for implementing LADM in Ghana, focusing on areas with diverse land tenure systems. The study found that integrating different types of land tenure data into a standardized system is essential for effective land administration in Ghana. The findings can help develop a comprehensive land administration infrastructure for the country.
