High Nitrogen Levels Boost Cucumber Growth and Yield in Protected Conditions
The researchers studied how different levels of nitrogen affected the growth and yield of parthenocarpic cucumbers in a protected environment. They tested 11 treatments and found that the best results were seen with treatment T5, which had a specific nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium ratio. This treatment led to the longest vine length, highest number of branches, and quickest flower emergence. Additionally, treatment T5 produced the highest average yields per vine, per plot, and per hectare. Another treatment, T6, resulted in cucumbers with the largest diameter, length, and weight.
