Building information modelling (BIM) is being used to improve communication and productivity in the construction industry. A new system has been developed to automatically design drywall and sheathing layouts in BIM models, making it easier to produce building panels in prefabrication plants. This system helps create detailed construction-centric models, shop drawings, and material lists, while also optimizing layouts to reduce waste. The goal is to enhance efficiency and accuracy in panel production for residential buildings.
