China is working on setting water quality standards to protect aquatic life in freshwater ecosystems. They want to make sure that chemical contaminants in the water are at safe levels for the animals and plants that live there. China is looking at what other countries are doing to protect their aquatic life and making recommendations for how they can improve their own standards.
