Conditional cash transfers in Indonesia aim to improve children's education by providing money to poor families with conditions. A study in Yogyakarta Province found that these transfers help parents invest in their children's education. The program also monitors behavior and can stop payments if conditions are not met. However, the cost of higher education and limited school options can still be barriers for parents. While the cash transfers boost parents' aspirations for their children's education, they may not be enough to ensure higher education for the children.
