Milanese Façades Revolutionize Urban Living with Innovative Design and Construction
In the 1950s, architects in Milan worked with builders and producers to create modern residential buildings with unique façade designs. This collaboration led to the development of innovative construction techniques and materials. By analyzing 15 buildings from that era, researchers found that claddings, windows, and prefabricated panels were key elements in the façade design. These elements were chosen for their technological and artistic value, reflecting the cultural context of Milan at the time. The study sheds light on the avant-garde building practices of the 1950s in Milan.
