The study aimed to create a map showing where soil erosion is happening in western Algeria. They used a model called Universal Soil Loss Equation to figure out how much soil is being lost in different areas. The map they made shows that most of the soil loss is in the southern and mountainous parts of the region. These areas cover about 15% of the study area. The rest of the area has lower soil loss and acts as a place where soil deposits gather.
