Land use changes in the East-Liao River Basin from 2000 to 2020 have had a significant impact on water quality. The study found that water body and forest land saw the most changes in land use types. By analyzing the relationship between land use changes and water quality, it was discovered that certain land use changes can improve water quality. Recommendations include creating ecological protection areas, building artificial lawns near water bodies to reduce pollution, and implementing scientific farming practices to reduce pollution from agriculture.
