Mountainous Watershed Runoff Analysis Reveals Rapid Response to Rainfall
The study analyzed rainfall and runoff in a mountainous watershed using GeoWEPP and SWAT models. The researchers found that runoff increased rapidly with rainfall and decreased just as quickly. The SWAT model had high accuracy in simulating runoff, with an R² value of 0.95. The GeoWEPP model also performed well, with an R² value of 0.89. Both models can be used to predict soil loss, but more work is needed to improve their accuracy.
