SAARC was created in 1985 to promote cooperation among South Asian countries, but it struggled due to security issues and disputes between member states. The region's security problems have prevented SAARC from achieving its goal of economic integration and development. By addressing these security concerns and resolving conflicts between countries, regional cooperation in South Asia could be more successful.
