Regional integration in ECO faces challenges due to the lack of geographical functions. The study uses a functionalist approach to explore the issues and opportunities within ECO. Geographical challenges negatively impact political, economic, and cultural cooperation among member states, while overlooking geographical advantages hinders the integration process.
