Facades that Harness Daylight and Generate Electricity Revolutionize Sustainable Building Design
In this research, scientists studied how to design building facades to bring in natural sunlight and generate electricity effectively. They wanted to find the best balance between letting in daylight and producing power from the sun. They used a special 3D design method and a smart computer program to look at different options. By focusing on a place in Korea called Incheon, they found 50 really good ways to design facades that give lots of natural light inside while also making electricity. Their new approach helps make buildings brighter inside while being eco-friendly.
