Factors Revealed: How Banks' Capital Affects Risk and Stability
The study looked at factors affecting how well banks in Turkey manage their money and risks. They focused on state-owned, private, and foreign banks from 2009 to 2019. The researchers found that one specific factor, called OME, had a strong positive impact on how well banks managed their money. Overall, the model they used to analyze the data was significant, explaining 36% of the variation in capital adequacy ratios.
