Gomti River Pollution Threatens Health and Environment in Northern India
The Gomati river in Uttar Pradesh is heavily polluted due to human waste, agriculture, and industry. This pollution is caused by major cities along the river and is harming the environment and human health. The water quality has worsened due to population growth, industrialization, and farming practices. The pollution is leading to the destruction of marine habitats and the spread of diseases like cholera and malaria. The main cause of pollution is untreated waste entering the river through drains. To address this issue, steps need to be taken on a personal level to reduce pollution in the Gomati river.
