Steel and concrete composite floors can have poor thermal performance due to their low mass and high steel conductivity. To improve this, a composite floor was created using fibre reinforced concrete and thermal insulation material. This new floor system showed better thermal behavior compared to traditional floors in numerical assessments. The fibre reinforcement saved time and the insulation material between steel profiles improved thermal performance.
