New Tree Growth Models Revolutionize Sustainable Forest Management in China!
Researchers developed growth models for eight tree species in Northeast China using data from long-term observations. They used stem analysis and tree height measurements to create models that accurately predict tree height growth. The best model, the Chapman-Richards model, performed well for Picea asperata, explaining 99% of the variance with minimal error. These models can help predict tree growth and inform sustainable forest management practices in the region.
