Farmers can boost biodiversity and multiple ecosystem services with strategic agri-environmental management.
Agri-environmental management actions on a farm in England were studied to see how they affect biodiversity and ecosystem services. Wildflower margins helped invertebrates, pest control, and crop yield, but didn't stop nutrient run-off. Ponds captured sediment and looked nice. Grasslands had more soil carbon and lower emissions. A mix of actions is better than relying on just one or two for multiple benefits.
