New herbicides boost green gram yield, but cause crop phytotoxicity.
A study tested new herbicides on green gram plants to see how well they controlled weeds. The best results came from using diclosulam and imazethapyr herbicides together, but they also harmed the crop and reduced yield. The highest seed yield was seen in weed-free conditions, followed by a mix of imazethapyr and Quizalofop ethyl herbicides. These herbicide combinations also gave the highest profits and benefit-cost ratios.
