New tomato hybrids show potential for high fruit yield and commercial success.
Researchers studied 36 types of tomatoes to see how they grow and produce fruit. They crossed different parent plants to create new hybrids and found that many of them showed better fruit yield than their parents. Some specific crosses, like P5 x P6 and P1 x P7, had the highest fruit yield. This means these new tomato hybrids could be great for growing lots of tomatoes in the future.
