Stock Market Development: Evidence from Market Capitalization Trends

Stock market development in Zimbabwe and Africa was studied from January 2010 to May 2019 using monthly data. The researchers used the ARIMA model to predict stock market growth, finding that past market capitalization values influence future development. Two efficient models, ARIMA (7, 1, 2) and ARIMA (12, 1, 2), showed positive growth in the near future. The study suggests that improving stock market services can boost economic development.
