The article discusses a plan to improve land administration in Sri Lanka using e-governance. The main goal is to set up a Land Administration Commission and a database system to manage land information efficiently. The approach involves focusing on four key functions: land tenure, valuation, use, and development. By involving stakeholders and addressing current information sharing issues, the plan aims to centralize land transactions and decision-making. The proposed pilot project in Colombo will eventually expand nationwide to support sustainable land development.
