Lognormal Kriging Outperforms Ordinary Kriging in Sulfur Data Estimation
The study compared two methods, ordinary kriging and lognormal kriging, for estimating sulfur data in an area with abnormal distribution. They used variogram functions to find the best covariance model. The goal was to see how well each method handled outliers. The data came from a study in Mosul Governorate, Iraq. The results showed that lognormal kriging was more effective than ordinary kriging in dealing with outliers.
