Corporate Social Responsibility Boosts Financial Performance of Thai Companies
The study looked at how companies in Thailand spend money on social and environmental activities, and how this affects their financial performance. They found that companies that spend more on these activities tend to have lower financial performance, while those that win awards for their efforts have better financial performance. Companies with a dedicated CSR committee also spend more on these activities. This shows that being socially responsible can benefit Thai-listed companies, even though it's not mandatory.
