Rainfed Farmers Face Risky Harvests, Unstable Incomes in Indonesia
Rainfed lowland rice farming in Maros Regency, Indonesia faces risks in production and income due to factors like land area, seed quantity, fertilizer, and pesticide use. Farmers need to focus on efficient production methods to manage these risks effectively. The study involved 100 rice farmers from four sub-districts and used statistical analysis to identify the key factors influencing the risks in rainfed lowland rice farming. The government's support in maintaining rice prices is crucial for the farmers' economic stability.
