Local public hospitals in South Korea facing financial crisis, impacting patient care.
The study looked at what affects how well public hospitals in South Korea perform. They checked data from 32 hospitals over three years. The hospitals made more money from patients and had more assets, but also spent more. They were not making a profit and were having trouble managing. Having more debt, quick assets, fixed liabilities, and using assets efficiently helped the hospitals perform better. The study suggests ways for hospitals to improve based on these findings.
