Women in Sudan Lead Fight Against Hunger and Malnutrition in Rural Areas
Women in rural Sudan play a crucial role in improving household food security by contributing to food production and enhancing dietary quality. They are more capable than men in using available resources to ensure their families have enough to eat. This study shows that women's involvement in economic activities, such as farming and livestock keeping, is key to reducing hunger and malnutrition in Sudan. Policymakers should support women's role in food security through national and local development policies.
