Hopeful minority health students thrive with optimism and gratitude boost
The study looked at hope, optimism, and gratitude in minority health professional college students. They found that students with higher levels of hope, optimism, and gratitude also had better wellbeing in terms of positive emotions, engagement, relationships, meaning, and accomplishment. Overall, students who were hopeful, optimistic, and grateful tended to feel happier, be more involved in their activities, have stronger relationships, feel more purpose in life, and achieve their goals more often.
