The researchers studied how adding iron and zinc enriched organic materials to soil affected the nutrient content and uptake by wheat plants. They found that using vermicompost with added iron and zinc, along with recommended fertilizer, led to higher levels of nitrogen, phosphorus, iron, and zinc in the wheat grain and straw. This resulted in better nutrient uptake by the plants compared to using only traditional fertilizer.
